Summer is Gone. Winter Holidays are Coming.
"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin." - Mother Teresa
Summer is gone, fall is here, and winter holidays are coming. Nowhere is the passing of seasons more visible than in a garden. Family needed me this summer and family comes before everthing - so, my garden wasn't harvested. It didn’t provide for me, but nature is enjoying it's bounty. Birds are feasting on plants gone to seed and my bees are gathering pollen and nectar for the winter from flowers that would have been harvested long ago. There'll be no need to plant calendula next spring as the flower heads have dropped seeds that will overwinter in the soil.
It's time to put my garden to bed for the year and to prepare the plots for next year’s medicinal herb garden

David and I are busy as bees putting together a selection of beautiful Whidbey Island Natural gifts for this holiday season. Giving all-natural, luxury bath and skin care products is a wonderful way to show family and friends that you care for their health and well-being.
